Aircraft Transporting US Defense Secretary Forced to Land in UK Due to Fracture in Windshield

A jet transporting Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was forced to make an unplanned landing in the UK on Wednesday due to a fissure was found in the plane's windshield, according to an official announcement which stated that Hegseth was safe.

"The plane landed following established safety measures and all passengers, including Pete Hegseth, is secure," a spokesperson said in a online announcement.

The secretary was coming back from a brief trip to the Belgian capital when the incident occurred.

This incident is not the first occasion that a United States armed forces jet ferrying a senior official has suffered equipment failures.

Months ago, a American military jet carrying Secretary of State Marco Rubio to the city in Germany was compelled to head back to the US capital after suffering a technical issue.
