Barça to Host First Fixture at Renovated Camp Nou over the weekend
Barça revealed their first game will take place at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou over the weekend. They will welcome Athletic Bilbao in domestic competition two and a half years since relocating for construction to commence.
“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”
The stadium will not be at full capacity though over 45,000 attendees will be allowed to watch under the licence granted. After final construction, it will accommodate almost 105,000 spectators, increasing from the former 99,000. Barça announced completed upgrades featured a renovated tunnel for players and new dressing rooms.
