Homages Flow for Rob and Michele Reiner as Medical Examiner's Findings Remain Under Wraps.

More than two weeks following the shocking loss of renowned film director Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, peers and loved ones persist in remembering the pair.

‘Life is Pain Without You’: Cary Elwes Remembers His Director

Writing on social media, actor Cary Elwes, who was featured in Reiner's iconic movie *The Princess Bride*, stated he just recently felt able to post publicly about his profound loss.

"Enough time has passed that I can finally put my grief into words," shared Elwes, noting that his introductory moment with Reiner left him smitten. "Once we started sharing more moments together I realized this was someone I wanted in my life."

The actor posted behind-the-scenes footage from the production, commenting that he doesn't recollect "one day without laughter".

"The film is about affection, allegiance and giving. Principles that Rob valued immensely. This is one of the many reasons he was the best person to guide it," Elwes expressed.

He went on to praise Michele Reiner, noting: "Asserting that they were a formidable pair would be an oversimplification. My heart still aches every time I think of you." He ended with a quote from *The Princess Bride*: "Sure, death cannot stop true love but existence is agony without you."

Martin Scorsese Reflects on a Friend and Collaborator

In a separate essay, acclaimed director Martin Scorsese paid homage to Reiner, whom he initially encountered in the 1970s.

"From the start, I loved being with Rob. We had a innate rapport for each other. He was very funny and sometimes bitingly funny, but he was never the kind of guy who would command the room," Scorsese wrote.

Scorsese highlighted Reiner's supporting role in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, embodying the father of the lead role.

"His improvisation skills with the best. He was a virtuoso at comedy, he worked beautifully with his co-stars, and he grasped the human predicament of his character," Scorsese noted.

Legal Developments: Autopsy Reports Withheld

Recently, a Los Angeles judge agreed to bar the disclosure of the Reiners' medical examiner's reports, at the request from the local authorities.

A judicial mandate placed a security hold on the investigation to restrict the public release of "all case details, evidence and photographs" associated with the active case.

The coroner's office had already determined their deaths were the result of homicide, with a official listing noting the cause as "wounds from an edged weapon".

Fallout and Commentary

Following the deaths, public figures offered varying reactions.

Former President Donald Trump posted on the matter, providing provocative remarks that were broadly criticized by many individuals.

Podcaster Joe Rogan lent his perspective to the those speaking out last week. Talking on his program, Rogan characterized the statements as "disappointing" and suggested they revealed a troubling lack of empathy.

Rogan concluded by suggesting that an associate could have stepped in when the decision to speak on the death was made.
