Trump's Family Member Receives Professional Guidance from Tiger Woods Before LPGA Debut
The rising star has substantial online following
Kai Trump will have plenty of high-profile cheerleaders as she starts her LPGA debut later this week.
This teenage golfer, who is connected to Donald Trump, received a sponsor's invitation to compete at Florida's Annika event in the Sunshine State.
Her grandfather, an avid golfer, owns several courses worldwide and regularly plays against his granddaughter.
"He's pretty good. I shouldn't elaborate but we play tight competitions," she revealed.
The golfer shared that her grandfather, unable to come, counseled her: "Simply avoid anxiety."
"He essentially told me to go out there and have fun," she explained.
"In my eyes, he's just a regular grandfather. He can't make it for the tournament. He's occupied with world affairs, so he's quite busy."
As an amateur, the golfer has competed in only three events in 2024 and maintains position 461 in AJGA standings.
But she can receive tips from Tiger Woods, in a relationship with Vanessa.
"He represents the best player globally," Kai expressed.
"And he's an even better human being. He advised me to compete, enjoy myself, adapting to whatever happens."
The golfer will compete against several most prominent players in women's golf at this tournament, including world number two the champion, British golfer Hull, Lexi Thompson and 2023 champion Lilia Vu.
The LPGA mentioned that Kai's presence helps introduce the sport to new audiences, especially reaching the next generation.
The social media influencer maintains millions of followers and just introduced an exclusive fashion and living brand.
The competition starts at 5:30 PM GMT.
